STORAGEPLACE

What if renting a storage space was as easy as booking a hotel room? That was the challenge behind Storageplace — a marketplace that needed to work intuitively for two very different types of users, from day one.

Concept

Concept

/// Storageplace is an Austrian platform that digitalizes the storage space market — built similarly to classifieds platforms like willhaben, but focused entirely on one niche: renting and listing storage spaces. The idea was to create a clean, two-sided marketplace that connects people who need storage with those who have space to offer.

Problem

Problem

/// Finding a suitable storage space was time-consuming and frustrating. Listings were scattered, processes were unclear, and there was no dedicated platform that served both sides of the equation. Renters had no reliable way to search and book, while landlords lacked a simple tool to list and manage their spaces — leaving real demand completely unmet.

Solution

Solution

/// A two-sided platform with role-based dashboards tailored to the distinct needs of renters and landlords. Renters can easily search, compare, and book storage spaces, while landlords can manage their listings, track bookings, and handle billing — all within their own dedicated area.

To further reduce friction, a modal-based upgrade flow was introduced, allowing landlords to seamlessly switch to a higher subscription tier without leaving their current context.

Development

/// The project covered the full UX/UI process from scratch. Starting with user research, I created detailed user personasand mapped out their user journeys to understand the different needs of renters vs. landlords. From there, I defined the information architecture — including URL structures and a complete sitemap — to ensure a logical and scalable foundation.

/// All UI work was done in Figma: design system, components, screens, and responsive layouts. The project concluded with a structured developer handoff, providing the external development team with everything they needed to build the product accurately and efficiently.
